KID’S MONEY SCRAMBLE JOINS NASCAR MODIFIED & SPORTSMAN DOUBLE THIS SATURDAY NIGHT AT GRANDVIEW SPEEDWAY
OUTLAW ENDURO-VINTAGE-XCEL 600 MODIFIED TRIPLE KICKS OFF WEEKEND ON FRIDAY
55th ANNUAL FORREST ROGERS MEMORIAL MODIFIED $10,000 TO WIN CHAMPIONSHIP IS AUGUST 9
BECHTELSVILLE, PA. – Grandview Speedway kicks off the month of August with two days of racing action this weekend plus something extra for the younger fans with a kid’s money scramble on Saturday night.
The weekend will see two shows beginning on Friday, August 1 featuring the Outlaw Racing Series Enduro and Outlaw Racing Series Vintage Cars in action along with the Xcel 600 Modifieds starting at 7 pm.
On Friday night pit gates open at 2 pm, with grandstand gates opening at 5:30 pm. Grandstand admission will be $10, with children ages 12 and under admitted for free. Pit admission is $35 for the Friday event.
Then on Saturday Grandview Speedway will be presenting a NASCAR Advance Auto Parts Weekly Series program featuring the T.P. Trailer NASCAR Modifieds and the T.P. Truck Equipment NASCAR Sportsman along with a Money Scramble for kids starting at 7:30 pm.
The show on Saturday, August 2 will include qualifying events for both divisions that will lead into a 30-lap T.P. Trailer Modified feature and a 25-lap feature for the T.P. Truck Equipment Sportsman.
This Saturday night prior to the racing program will be the weekly Low Down and Dirty meet and greet hosted by Brittany Huber. The drivers scheduled to participate include T.P. Trailer Modified driver Kyle Smith along with T.P. Truck Equipment Sportsman drivers Adrianna Delliponti and Teague Miller.
The pre-race Meet and Greet is held in the main gate area starting at 5 pm and is a great time for fans to meet the drivers up close, collect some autographs, take photos, and talk racing with their favorite drivers before the night’s program gets underway.
The Kid’s Money Scramble will see the younger fans divided up into different age groups, then coins will be scattered on the front stretch of the race track. The youngsters will be given a set amount of time to scoop up as many coins as possible, filling their containers or pockets!
Pit gates will open at 4 pm, with grandstand gates opening at 5:30 pm, warm-ups starting at 6:15 pm, and the first race of the evening getting the green flag at 7:30 pm.
Adult grandstand admission is $20, students 10-15 with ID are $10, while children ages 9 and under are admitted free of charge. Pit admission is $35 for NASCAR members and $45 for non-members.
Next Saturday, August 9 is the high lite of the summer schedule with the 55th annual Forrest Rogers Memorial 50-lap Championship race for the T.P. Trailer Modifieds paying $10,000 to win, with the race honoring the gentleman who built Grandview Speedway, Forrest Rogers. The show also includes the T.P. Truck Equipment Sportsman and another Trivia Night contest starting at 7:30 pm.
The Forrest Rogers Memorial begins the stretch run for the drivers and the chase for the track championship, along with the opportunity for the T.P. Trailer Modified drivers to attempt the Grandview Triple Crown, winning the Forrest Rogers Memorial – Track Point Championship – Freedom 76 all in one season!
This past Saturday night Jeff Strunk picked up the T.P. Trailer Modified feature win to become the first driver to win more than once this season, after going nine straight races with a different winner.
Strunk will lead the T.P. Trailer Modified division into action this Saturday night along with the other winners including Brian HIrthler, Brett Kressley, Chris Esposito, John Willman, Duane Howard, Jon Kellner, Logan Watt, and Ryan Watt.
These drivers will be joined this Saturday night along with top point drivers including Jared Umbenhauer, Mike Gular, Louden Reimert, Craig Von Dohren, Eddie Strada, Tim Buckwalter, Ryan Grim, Kyle Smith, Doug Manmiller, and Craig Whitmoyer along with three dozen drivers who will be looking for the checkered flag in Saturday night’s 30-lap feature race.
The T.P. Truck Equipment Sportsman division added another first time career winner this past Saturday night with Shannon Slaughter picking up the feature win. It was her first career feature win and she became the first female driver to score a win at Grandview Speedway.
The T.P. Truck Equipment Sportsman will be lead into action this Saturday night by two-time winners Colin Cox, Jesse Landis and Addison Meitzler, along with Slaughter, Lawson Szerencits, Joey Vaccaro, and Ryan Graver who have all scored a single feature win.
All of these drivers along with three dozen total will be looking for a win on Saturday including top point drivers Mike Schneck Jr., Kenny Gilmore, Dylan Swinehart, TJ Mayberry, Gavyn Krupp, Nathan Mohr, Teague Miller, Brett Gilmore, Kyle Hartzell, and Decker Swinehart.
Since the 1960’s, Grandview Speedway has been presenting exciting wheel to wheel NASCAR stock car racing every Saturday Night starting in April and running through October, plus special events.
