BECHTELSVILLE, PA JUNE 14, 2008 . . . Officials tried to wait out Ma Nature on Saturday night at Grandview Speedway but after a one hour delay Ma Nature won.
Just as promoter Bruce Rogers decided to start sending equipment out in an effort to get the track in race condition rain again started to fall forcing cancellation of the NASCAR 358 Modified and United Racing Company Sprint Car doubleheader show.
The URC Sprints will be back in action at Grandview Speedway on July 26th as part of the Zuber Realty sponsored night that will also feature the 358 Modifieds and Late Models.
The rained out Brett Thayer Night presented by BPG Racing will be rescheduled for a later date. Brett Thayer, a long time Grandview Speedway, won the opportunity to have the night named after him when his wife sent in a three page letter outlining the reasons Thayer should have his name on the race.
Rain checks from the June 14th event can be used for June 21st or June 28th or they can be held and used for the URC return on July 26th. Fans using the rain checks for June 21st or June 28th will not receive refunds for the price difference in the ticket prices.
NASCAR Modifieds and Late Models will be back in action at Grandview Speedway on Saturday, June 21st starting at 7:30 p.m. The doubleheader will be sponsored by Banes Roofing of Telford, PA.
Coming up on June 28th is Whelen Night featuring the NASCAR Modifieds, Late Models and Legends.
The 410 Sprints and ARDC Wingless Midgets will be in action on Tuesday, July 1st as part of the Cindy Rowe Pennsylvania Sprint Speed Week series.
