TIGHT POINT BATTLE HEADING TO MAVERICKS MOTORCYCLE CLUB NIGHT AT GRANDVIEW SPEEDWAY

Duane Howard, as a result of a flat tire late in the race last Saturday night, has just an 80 point edge in the chase for the Modified crown going into the NASCAR 358 Modified racing action at Grandview Speedway on Saturday night. And Chuck Schutz continues to hold on to the point leader in the Late Model division as he is shooting for his fifth title as the Late Models make up the second part of the Mavericks Motorcycle Club sponsored night of racing with the green flag falling at 7:30 p.m. Spectator gates open at 5:30 p.m.
Mavericks Motorcycle Club will be using the Saturday night, July 9th event, as a fund raiser for their pet project Alex’s Lemonade Stand cancer charity. You can even purchase a Mavericks t-shirt with proceeds going to charity.
There will be members of Boobie Nation and drivers going through the grandstands at intermission to collect money for late model racer Greg Hoffmaster who was injured in a motorcycle accident. He is expected to be out of action for the balance of the season.
Fans are reminded that the new pricing policy for the regular Saturday night events now has youngsters 11 and under admitted FREE. Adult tickets are still priced at $14 for regular Saturday night racing action.
The BPG Racing Pick 3 Modified contest is back up to $250 for the fan that can pick the top three in the order they will finish in the Modified feature. The entry blank is found in the track magazine the Grandview Groove.
Coming up on Saturday, July 16th is WNPV-1440AM Radio Night. The 358 Modifieds and Late Models will be featured. Leader of each lap in the 20-lap Late Model race will earn$14.40 courtesy of Linda and Joe Moskal of WNPV. While the leader of the 14th lap in the modified feature will receive $40 and the 14th place finisher in the modified feature will earn $40.
We are collecting lap money for the Forrest Rogers Memorial presented by Pioneer Pole Buildings on August 13th. Each lap is $10 and that money goes to the leader of the lap. Contact Ernie Saxton at 215.752.7797 or at Esaxton144@aol.com. The NASCAR 358 Modified race will pay $10,000 to win.
