HATFIELD MEATSí SMILEY WILL BE ON HAND TO ENJOY THE SATURDAY NIGHT ACTION AT GRANDVIEW SPEEDWAY
Thursday, July 21, 2011

OUTLAW SLINGSHOTS CANCELLED FOR JULY 24, NEETS ENDURO STILL ON Jeff Strunk has a slight edge over Duane Howard in the chase for the lucrative point titles at Grandview Speedway. Fans can rest assured that both drivers will be at their best in the Hatfield Quality Meats Night which will feature the NASCAR 358 modifieds and late models in another exciting doubleheader show with the green flag dropped at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday, July 23rd. Chuck Schutz continues to be the point leader in Late Models and is a contender for recognition in the NASCAR National competition. First 100 people through the main gate will get a free ticket for the ARCA/NASCAR Truck doubleheader at Pocono Raceway on Saturday August 6th. And topping the giveaways will be a pair of Terrace Club tickets, with pit passes, to the Sunday, August 7th Pennsylvania 500. A value of $500. Smiley, the Hatfield mascot, will be shooting hot dogs and shirts into the audience. And they will have a huge beach getaway package going to a lucky fan. RCN-TV will be there to video all the action for showing during the following week. Regular show adult admission is just $14 and kids 11 and under are admitted FREE. Keep in mind that you will usually find it cooler on top of the hill where Grandview Speedway is located. Then on Sunday at 1 p.m. (warmups at 12:30 p.m.) the NEETS Enduro racers will be featured in a 150 lap race for big cars and 150 laps for small cars. Important to note is that the Outlaw Slingshots portion of that show that had been scheduled has been cancelled. The Slingshots will return on Sunday, August 28th when they will be part of a tripleheader show that includes the NEETS Enduros, Slingshots and Vintage Modifieds. More details to be announced. Lap sponsorships, just $10 per lap, are available for the Forrest Rogers Memorial presented by Pioneer Pole Buildings. See Marilyn in the big red office building at the main entrance or telephone Ernie Saxton at 215.752.7797. She can also give you details on the 50th Anniversary/Reunion Cruise that is set for November 24, 2012. This trip is filling up quickly. The Forrest Rogers Memorial for NASCAR 358 Modifieds pays $10,000 to win the 50-lapper on Saturday, August 13th and also features the Late Models.
