The NASCAR 358 Modifieds will be featured in the Pepsi/Bashore Trucking Challenge on Saturday, July 30th, at Grandview Speedway. The top 11 in Modified points, on hand for the Saturday events, will participate in one-on-one challenge racing with the lowest of the 11 in the point standings getting to choose who he races in the first challenge. The last challenger standing wins the $1,500 first place money. This is always a fun event for racers and fans.
The NASCAR 358 Modifieds and Late Models will also be featured in a regular double feature program, 30 laps for Mods and 20 laps for Late Models.
In a fund raising effort for the Boys Clubs and Girls Clubs, Pioneer Pole Buildings, sponsors of the Forrest Rogers Memorial on August 13th, will be raffling off the use of the sponsor suite and five tickets plus a meet and great with Craig VonDohren plus five general admission tickets. Each raffle ticket will sell for $2. Tickets will be available on July 30, the Thunder show on August 3rd and the August 6th event with the winners being announced on August 6th.
Coming up on August 3rd is the Traffic Jam Thunder on the Hill promotion, a Bob Miller/Bruce Rogers promotion, that will feature the ROC Modifieds in a 60 lap feature and the ROC Sportsman in a 40 lap feature. Racing starts at 7:30 p.m.
And on Saturday, August 6th 3STARZ Landscaping will sponsor the doubleheader show of 358 Modifieds and Late Models with the added attraction of the Vince’s Towing Old Timer race for old time modified owners who are over 50 years old. A large field of old timers is listed for the 15-lap race that will pay the top five spots $300 down to $50. This is always an exciting race.
And there are still laps available for the Forrest Rogers Memorial presented by Pioneer Pole Buildings. More than half of the 50 laps have been taken. Laps are just $10 for lap sponsorships in the 50 lap race paying $10,000 to win on August 13th.
