A NEW WINNER FOR THE 41ST ANNUAL FORREST ROGERS MEMORIAL PRESENTED BY PIONEER POLE BUILDINGS AT GRANDVIEW?
Thursday, August 11, 2011

Some of the sports best have won the Forrest Rogers Memorial at Grandview Speedway and some of the sports best have not won the classic. Duane Howard will be back on Saturday, August 13th to see if he can win a second straight Forrest Rogers Memorial presented by Pioneer Pole Buildings and the $10,000 that goes with it. Jeff Strunk will be looking to win for the first time since 2000. Craig VonDohren has been a winner and he will be trying for another one as will a number of others. And a good night for Howard or VonDohren could close up the point battle. We had been advised that Rick Laubach would be racing the Beer City #7 NASCAR 358 Modified at Grandview in this event. We did advertise him. We have now been informed that he will not be racing at Grandview and has chosen to race elsewhere. We apologize for that incorrect information. We have been told that Jimmy Horton will be racing at Grandview in this event. Popular singer Dina Marie will be doing the National Anthem. Action gets underway at 7:30 p.m. Spectator gates open at 5:30 p.m. Adult admission is just $20 while youngsters 6 through 11 will pay $5 and kids under 6 are admitted for FREE. The NASCAR 358 Modifieds will run a full slate of qualifying events leading up to a 50-lap main event. The Late Models will be part of the doubleheader show. Rain date is Saturday, August 20th. However if the raindate is not needed the URC sprint cars will be featured along with the 358 Modifieds in a full slate of events while the Late Models will run in just a 20-lap feature race.
