Jeff Strunk (point leader), Duane Howard, Craig VonDohren, Meme DeSantis, Mike Gular, Kevin Hirthler, Ray Swinehart, Terry Meitzler and a long list of others will be at Grandview Speedway Saturday, August 20 trying to win the prestigious Forrest Rogers Memorial presented by Pioneer Pole Buildings and the $10,000 (plus lap money) that goes with the victory.
A strong field of NASCAR 358 Modified racers is expected to be in the 28 car (at least) starting field as they go 50 laps for the big bucks and the opportunity to add their name to the already impressive list of past winners.
A full slate of 12-lap qualifying heats and 10-lap consolation races will lead up to the 50-lapper.
And adding even more excitement to the show will be the NASCAR Late Models with point leader Chuck Schutz working toward his fifth track title and national recognition by NASCAR. Schutz will have plenty of competition from the likes of Ron Kline, Danny Snyder, Mike Kellner and a host of others.
It is going to be a fantastic night of racing at Grandview Speedway with spectator gates open at 5:30 p.m. and racing getting the green at 7:30 p.m. Adult admission for this classic event is $20, youngsters 6 through 11 pay just $5 and under 6 are admitted free. Rain checks from the URC rain out earlier in the season can be used for this event.
Coming up on Saturday, August 27th NASCAR 358 Modifieds and the Late Models will top the tripleheader which will also include the Sidewinder 1000cc sprints. Racing starts at 7:30 p.m. This event will have a $15 adult admission while youngsters 11 and under are admitted FREE.
BPG Racing Freedom 76 tickets go on sale on August 27th also. They are priced at $30 for adults for the September 17th classic that offers in excess of $20,000 for the winner.
August closes out with the NEETS Enduros in action on Sunday, August 28th at 1 p.m. A 100-lapper for Big cars and 100-lapper for Small cars plus a Ladies Enduro and the Vintage Cars in action. Admission is just $10
