Press Release
FOUR FEATURES AT GRANDVIEW ON SATURDAY, AUGUST 27TH
Thursday, August 25, 2011

There will be plenty of racing action at Grandview Speedway on Saturday night (August 27th), more than usual, as four feature races will be presented along with a full slate of qualifying events.
The NASCAR 358 Modifieds are in action with Jeff Strunk, Craig VonDohren and Duane Howard continuing their battle for the lucrative title. A 30-lap feature with at least 28 starters will top their part of the show.
Late Model racing will see Chuck Schutz continue his efforts to win a fifth title. A 20-lap feature tops their part of the night of racing action. A win by Randy Stoudt would tie the record of 58 career wins held by Jon Kellner Sr. for so many years. Just three point events remain in each division.
Former modified and URC sprint standout Dave Kelly will be serving as honorary starter.
Making their only start of the season is the Sidewinder Sprints and they will have their own feature race as will the Vince’s Towing Legends Owners. This should be a great fun event with some of the oldies owners running for $300, a great trophy and their pride.
Adult admissions for the Saturday night show is just $15, youngsters under the age of 11 are admitted FREE.
Spectator gates open at 5:30 p.m. with racing at 7:30 p.m.
Advance tickets for the BPG Racing Freedom 76, set for Saturday, September 17th, are on sale at the big red office building at the main entrance. Adult tickets are $30, kids 6 through 11 pay $10 and under 6 are admitted FREE. Rain date is Saturday, September 24th.
Lap sponsorships are just $10 and that money goes to the leader of the lap you choose. In return you get mentioned in the special edition program book and on the public address system and on the giant second turn message board. Laps 10,20,30,40,50, 60 and 70 are priced at $25.
You can see Ernie Saxton or contact him at Esaxton144@aol.com or see Marilyn in the big red office building at the main entrance. MORE THAN HALF OF THE LAPS HAVE ALREADY BEEN TAKEN.
Then on Sunday, August 28th, 1 p.m. the NEETS Enduro Racing events are presented with a 100 lapper for big cars, 100 lapper for small cars, a ladies Enduro race and Vintage stock cars. Admission is just $10
