BECHTELSVILLE, PA The excitement of SpeedSTRS has been added to the Saturday, September 24th show at Grandview Speedway making for a great tripleheader that will also include OPEN COMPETITION Modifieds and Late Models. Racing will start at 7 p.m.
“With this being the final regular season event we figured we would add a little variety to the show,” said track owner Bruce Rogers. “It has been a while since we have had the SpeedSTRS at Grandview so we thought this would be a great way to finish the regular season. They have gotten around pretty well in previous appearances.”
The SpeedSTRS, looking like small sprint cars with the unique wing on the back, will run qualifying events topped off by a 20-lap feature race on the one-third-mile, banked clay track.
Open competition Modifieds and Late Models will be the big attraction with racers invited to bring whatever to go racing on Saturday night. Wings, sail panels, big motors and more are welcome for the Saturday night show.
The open competition concept gives racers an opportunity to have some fun with some creative stuff and some racers will use the night to test some ideas they may want to use for next season.
A full slate of qualifying events will be presented for the Modifieds and the Late Models leading up to a 30-lap feature for the Modifieds and a 20-lap feature for the Late Models.
With the open competition concept the gates are open for racers to come test their skills from other speedways that may have completed their seasons.
There will be no increase in the admission price with adults paying $14 admission and youngsters under 11 being admitted FREE.
Pit admission is $30 and there is no NASCAR license required.
Spectator gates open at 5 p.m. and racing starts at 7 p.m.
Then on Sunday (September 25) the NEETS Enduro racers will be in action with two 125 lap races for the big cars and small cars, a Ladies Enduro and Vintage car racing. Action gets underway at 1 p.m. and admission is just $10.
