FIRECRACKER 40 FOR LATE MODELS, 358 MODS, SPORTSMAN AND FIREWORKS ALL PART OF BARO TRUCKING NIGHT AT GRANDVIEW

BECHTELSVILLE, PA  Even though Fourth of July is long gone there will be Fireworks at Grandview Speedway on Saturday night. The Baro Trucking sponsored night of fun and excitement will include, in addition to the Fireworks, the Firecracker 40 Late Model championship, the NASCAR 358 Modifieds and the Sportsman stock cars with racing starting at 7:30 p.m.
All but the Sportsman had been planned as part of the show for last Saturday night but Ma Nature came along with rain and high winds and then there was a power failure forcing promoter Bruce Rogers to postpone the events until this Saturday, July 14th. And the Sportsman stock cars have been added to the show. In addition Kory Fleming and his sponsors will be giving away six bicycles to lucky youngsters who win them by luck of a drawing at intermission.
The Kauffman’s BBQ Chicken Night planned for this Saturday is being rescheduled.
The Firecracker 40 is the biggest event of the season for the Late Models with $2350 going to the winner with $2,000 coming from the track management, $250 from Baro Trucking and $100 from TP Trailers of Limerick.
Current point leader Chuck Schutz, past winner Ron Kline and a host of other top performers will be in action in the 40-lap main event.
The NASCAR 358 Modifieds will be in action as Duane Howard tries to get back to victory lane and there are at least 40 racers that will try to keep that from happening.
And added to the show will be the Sportsman stock cars topping off their portion of the night’s racing with a 25-lap feature.
A spectacular Fireworks display will also be part of the evening.
And a couple of lucky fans will go home with top-of-the-line tickets for the Pennsylvania 400 NASCAR Sprint Cup race at Pocono Raceway on August 5th courtesy of WNPV-1440AM Radio, the Lansdale, PA area NASCAR station.
Adult admission is just $20 while youngsters 6 through 12 pay $5 and under 6 are admitted FREE.
Spectator gates open at 5:30 p.m. with racing at 7:30 p.m.
Advance tickets for the huge BPG Racing Freedom 76 at Grandview, paying $50,000 to win, at on sale in the track office on race nights.
On Sunday, July 15th, 1 p.m. the NEETS Enduro racers will be in action with 150 lap events for the Big Cars and Small Cars while the Ladies race in a 25 lapper. There will be twin 15-lap features for the Blast From the Past Vintage Cars. Admission is just $10.
Coming up on Saturday, July 21st is the United Racing Company sprint cars along with the NASCAR 358 Modifieds. The Bashore/Pepsi Challenge Night will also feature one-on-one races featuring the top NASCAR 358 Modified racers with the winner, the last racer standing, earning $1,500. This is always a crowd pleasing show. Adult admission is $22.
Advance tickets are on sale at the track for the BPG Racing $50,000 to win Freedom 76 set for September 15th. Tickets are $40 for adults. Advance tickets get ticket holders into the events 30-minutes before the main gate opens.
