HOWARD WILL BE BACK WITH A VENGEANCE LOOKING FOR WIN NUMBER 9 AT GRANDVIEW; MODIFIEDS, LATE MODELS AND SPORTSMAN FEATURED IN HATFIELD MEATS NIGHT
Thursday, July 26, 2012

BECHTELSVILLE, PA July 26,2012 . . . Duane Howard did not win the NASCAR 358 Modified feature race at Grandview Speedway this past Saturday night. That has not happened often this season. And fans can be assured that Howard and his Blue Bell Air sponsored No. 4 will be back better and stronger seeking that elusive ninth win as he continues his quest for the 2012 NASCAR Whelen All American Series 358 Modified championship.
Don Norris, Jr. was the big winner last Saturday in the Modifieds and he will have the Limerick Diner sponsored racer ready for a try at a second straight victory on Saturday night. Norris became the sixth different winner in Modified competition this season.
One driver that has not been to victory lane but has been running strong this season is Chris Esposito. The Perkasie, PA racer, considered an under funded racer has been a consistent top five competitor. A victory just might be in the books for Esposito this Saturday night at the one-third-mile, banked clay oval.
The NASCAR 358 Modifieds will join with the Late Models and Sportsman in a tripleheader card of NASCAR stock car racing presented on Saturday, July 28th and sponsored by Hatfield Quality Meats. Spectator gates open at 5:30 p.m. and racing gets the green flag at 7:30 p.m.
Hatfield mascot Smylie will shoot hot dogs and tshirts into the crowd and have samples of their product available free. Hatfield Meats Night is a very popular annual event at Grandview Speedway.
As part of the night two lucky fans will go home with a pair of tickets to the Pennsylvania 500 NASCAR Sprint Cup race at Pocono on August 5th.
Adult admission for the Saturday show is $15 while children 12 and under are admitted free.
Advance tickets for the huge BPG Racing Freedom 76 Classic set for September 15th are now on sale in the track office on race nights. Adult tickets are priced at $40 while children 6 thru 12 pay just $10. Youngsters under 6 will be admitted for FREE.
The advance tickets are also available through the mail by sending a check payable to Grandview Speedway in the amount covering the number of tickets being ordered. In addition a self addressed stamped envelope should be included to allow for a speedy fulfillment of the ticket order. Mail should be directed to Grandview Speedway, 87 Wilt Road, Bechtelsville, PA 19505.
Full information on racing events at Grandview is available at www.grandviewspeedway.com or telephone 610.754.7688.
The one-third-mile, banked clay track is located at 43 Passmore Road, just off Route 100, in Bechtelsville, PA, 10 miles north of Pottstown.
