BECHTELSVILLE, PA The auto racing season is here. The 51st consecutive season of stock car racing gets the green flag at NASCAR sanctioned Grandview Speedway on Saturday, April 6th at 7 p.m.
NASCAR Whelen All American Series 358 Modifieds will be featured in a full slate of qualifying events with the top performing 28 racers taking part in the 30-lap feature on the one-third-mile, banked clay oval.
Late Models will top their part of the tripleheader show with a 25 lap feature and the Sportsman will race in a 25 lap feature race. At least a dozen racing events will fill out the program. Adult admission is just $15 while youngsters 12 and under are admitted free. There is always free parking available on the speedway grounds.
The first 250 paying adults making their way through the main spectator entrance, gates open at 5 p.m., will receive a Grandview Speedway water bottle.
Everyone entering the pits will be required to have a NASCAR license. Pits will open at 2 p.m.
Keith Gerhart will kick off the season with his stirring rendition of the National Anthem.
Katie Todorow, Ms. Motorsports 2013, will make an appearance.
An autograph session featuring three Grandview racers is being planned for the early arrivers. At present those plans are tentative.
