BECHTELSVILLE, PA August 29, 2013 . . . There will be $25,000 waiting for the winner of the BPG Racing Freedom 76 Modified Classic at Grandview Speedway on Saturday, September 14th. In addition there will be extra cash and perks for the winner and others competing in the 76-lap event on the Berks County one-third-mile, banked clay oval. The event is expected to attract some of the top names in the sport to participate.

VP Racing Fuels, already a big supporter of racing at Grandview, has announced that they will provide a 5-gallon pail of SEF 94 four cycle product or SEF 50:1 premixed, ready for use fuel for two cycle engines qualified racers. SEF is available through Cabela’s, many small engine shops and VP race fuel dealers.

To qualify for the award, each car must have VP’s 5x7 racing fuel decal clearly visible on both sides of the race car and a VP 3x4 patch on the uniform.

VP had earlier posted $950 worth of VP Fuel product to the top three finishers that are using their racing gasoline.

Veteran racer Bobby Gunther Walsh has announced that he is posting $250 for the Hard Charger in the 76-lap race. The sponsorship is made possible by the many sponsors that are involved with the Walsh racing effort.

Motorsports 2014, a race car and trade show, presented at the Greater Philadelphia Expo Center in Oaks, PA, January 10-12, is posting $29 for the leader of Lap 29 in recognition of the show’s 29th year. The show, which offers attendees the opportunity to see just about everything imaginable in motorsports, is posting $100 for the leader at the half-way mark. During the September 14th race day there will be $1 off coupons for the show available at a first turn area display.

Area Auto Racing News, celebrating their 51st year of operation, is posting $51 for the leader of Lap 51 and they will have $63 for the leader of Lap 63 recognizing the year AARN started. The weekly auto racing tabloid is now available to subscribers on-line at 6 a.m. each Tuesday morning as a free service.

The Minuteman 20, last chance to make the big race, will be sponsored again by Schaffer Motorsports and the big Cash Dash carries the name of Mertz Flying Dutchman  and will pay $1,000 to the winner while $500 will go to the Dash team able to change a tire the quickest.

Qualifying events are sponsored by Norm’s Save Station, Stoudt Auto Sales, Bill’s Printing, Gatto Racing Engines, Yacht Club of Stone Harbor and Bicknell’s Racing Products.

More than $1500 in lap money has been posted by a variety of businesses and fans that support stock car racing at Grandview Speedway.

Lap sponsorships, just $20, are still available along with special award opportunities. A few of the special ticket packages remain that offer an adult ticket to the race and a lap sponsorship, normally $50, for just $40. Those packages can be had in the track office by seeing Marilyn Saxton or contact Ernie Saxton at 215.752.7797.
