WILL HOWARD AND SHUEY MAKE IT TWO WINS IN A ROW AT GRANDVIEW SPEEDWAY - EASTER EGG HUNT SET FOR KIDS 11 AND UNDER
Wednesday, April 08, 2009

BECHTELSVILLE, PA April 8, 2009 . . . Duane Howard and Brian Shuey are coming off big opening night victories at Grandview Speedway and both are looking to make it two in a row.

Howard, a past champion in NASCAR Modifieds, and Shuey, a past champion in Late Models, will be part of the tripleheader racing action being presented at the Berks County clay oval on Saturday night, April 11th, starting at 7 p.m.

The NASCAR 358 Modifieds will be seen in a full slate of qualifying events leading up to the 30-lap feature with 28 cars taking the green. In the Late Model division a 20-lap feature will close out the action.

An added attraction for the Easter eve show is a first time appearance for the Sidewinder Sprints. The 1000cc powered sprinters should find the one-third-mile, banked clay track to their liking and put on an excitement filled show.

More than 80 race cars are expected to take part in the Saturday night racing action.

On top of all the racing action there will be a giant Easter Egg Hunt sponsored by Virtual Essence Hair Design of Gilbertsville. More than 750 eggs will be up for grabs with the youngsters broken down into three age categories 11 years old and younger. The hunt will take place at intermission in the first turn area.

Fans in the stands will have the opportunity to win a variety of gift cards (McDonalds, Dunkiní Donuts and Square One Markets) courtesy of Salvage Transport Services of Coplay, Cornerstone Auto Sales of Fleetwood and Square One Markets located in Lehigh Valley and Pocono areas.

Gates for spectators will open at 5 p.m. with racing starting at 7 p.m. Grandview Speedway is located on Passmore Road, just off Route 100, in Bechtelsville, PA, 10 miles north of Pottstown. For information telephone 610.754.7688 or check out their new look website at
