BECHTELSVILLE, PA. ? Duane Howard was back in his familiar BPG No. 4 on Saturday night at Grandview Speedway after engine problems sidelined him the previous week and he drove Ron Seltmann Jr.?s car in the feature.


Howard, the defending Grandview modified point champion, made a gutsy move coming out of turn two when he piloted the Nick Gatto Engines powered, not the usual Main Engines, mount between Nate Christman and the leader Tommy Scheetz III to emerge the new pacesetter on the 21st lap.


Howard maintained the lead the rest of the way to chalk up his first win of the season at the track in the 30-lap NASCAR Whelen All-American Series modified feature which was an overall career 201 win. It was his second win of the weekend since he won the previous night at Big Diamond Raceway, Minersville as he hit a milestone 200th win. In addition to the top prize money he received $250 from TP Trailers, Limerick.


At the wave of the green by starter Ray Kemp, Justin Grim charged into the early lead with challenges coming from Ron Seltmann Jr., Bobby Gunther-Walsh, Brad Grim and Scheetz III.


Scheetz III moved into second on the fifth lap to pressure J. Grim for the top spot and two laps later Scheetz III was at the head of the pack.


The battle for second through fifth soon developed between J. Grim, Seltmann Jr., Christman and Brad Grim.
