Kellner, driving the Vince?s Towing & Recovering No. 66, held off runner-up Meme DeSantis? efforts in the event held over from the rained out portion of the April 21st show for his first win of the year. It was Kellner?s first visit to victory lane since April 15, 2006.
In the second feature Duane Howard overtook Ryan Grim with five laps to go and went on to chalk up his third win of the season.
The first feature saw polesitter Eric Biehn lead for three laps before Kellner charged to the front of the pack with DeSantis now in second followed by Ray Swinehart, Biehn and Ron Seltmann Jr.
The yellow was out with ten laps completed when Biehn stopped on the backstretch with a flat right rear tire ending his fine run. Kellner and DeSantis were still one and two on the restart, but now the Strunk brothers ? Glenn, Kellner?s teammate and also a great partner commented by Kellner in victory lane; and Jeff, the defending point champion, were third and fourth with Howard, the current point leader, completing the top five.
Debris on the track at the Dan?s Deli ?-way hoagie mark, regrouped the pack as the yellow was thrown. First and second on the restart continued to be Kellner and DeSantis, but now J. Strunk and Howard were third and fourth as G. Strunk fell to fifth.
Lap cars were somewhat hindering the front runners in the later stages, but everyone dealt with the situation they were handed.
Kellner withstood all challenges and obstacles to pull into victory lane for a long-awaited triumph followed by DeSantis, J. Strunk, Howard and G. Strunk. Rounding out the top ten were Doug Manmiller, Mike Gular, Kyle Weiss, who received the Bobby Gunther-Walsh sponsors Hard Charger award; Craig Von Dohren and Nate Christman, the Cargo Trailer award winner.
