BECHTELSVILLE, PA. ? Duane Howard has been ?struggling on a Saturday night at Grandview Speedway to get a handle with his new Bicknell chassis to come from the back,? but through the aid of various restarts to managed to come from 16th to second by the 26th lap.

What appeared that rookie racer and ARDC midget standout Tim Buckwalter may be able to capture his first NASCAR Whelen All-American Series 30-lap Modified feature didn?t happen. Howard was hot on Buckwalter?s bumper as the pair took the one to go and just dove underneath him for the lead going into to the first turn. Trying to regain the lead, Buckwalter spun between one and two. Despite doing a perfect 360, the yellow was out for him. Howard continued his pace on the restart to capture back-to-back wins.

Eric Biehn led for three laps before Buckwalter did a slingshot move from high to low into the lead on the restart Jeff Strunk caused when he stopped in the fourth turn with a flat tire.

Buckwalter built up a comfortable lead by the ninth lap leaving Biehn, Kevin Hirthler, Mike Laise and Carroll Hine III battling for positions.

The top five remained intact until the 15th lap when Jon Kellner advanced to fifth. Four laps later it was a three-way battle for fifth between Kellner, Doug Manmiller and Howard.

Howard got into second by lap 26 as he ?pitched it tight in the turns since the top line was to the way to go to advance.?

Addison Meitzler was pinched into the first turn with heavy impact to bring out the yellow on lap 27. He was uninjured. Buckwalter stayed high when action with resumed with Howard switching to the low lane to challenge.
