Bechtelsville, Pa. ? Craig Von Dohren, behind the wheel of his self-owned No. 1C sponsored by Felty Farms and Kauffman?s BBQ Chicken, charged from his 16th starting grid and into the lead by the 10th lap of the 30-lap NASCAR Whelen All-American Racing Series modified feature on Saturday night at Grandview Speedway. The former point champion proceeded to hold off another former point champion and current point leader Duane Howard?s challenges on occasions and went on to score his second straight win in a row in the event sponsored by Banes Roofing. After two attempts to get a lap completed rookie Kevin Albert Jr. was the early race leader with Dan Waisempacher, another rookie; Troy Wink, Andy Burkhart, also a rookie and Kyle Follweiler in pursuit.

By the ninth lap Von Dohren was in a challenging position and one lap later he was the new leader.

While Von Dohren set the pace, the battle for the remaining positions was hot and heavy between Albert Jr., Follweiler, Gular and Howard. By the Dan?s Deli 1/2-way hoagie award mark the real action was for the runner-up spot between Gular and Howard allowing Von Dohren to pull away from the pack.

A multi-car first turn accident brought out the yellow on the 16th lap regrouping the pack. The restart was void as Jason Hamilton stopped on the backstretch. Von Dohren held his ground on the restart with Howard pulling alongside him on the outside. Room got a little tight and Von Dohren continued his dominance.

With five laps to go Von Dohren had to deal with lap traffic while Howard, Gular, Terry Meitzler and Jeff Strunk completed the top five. Once Von Dohren was in front he never looked back and pulled into victory lane for his fourth win at the oval. Chasing him across the line were Howard, Gular, Meitzler and Strunk. Rounding out the top ten were Meme DeSantis, Kevin Hirthler, Ryan Godown, Shawn Reimert and Jon Kellner. Follweiler, Howard, Waisempacher and Burkhart won the heats. Consies were won by Hamilton and Ron Seltmann Jr.
