Bechtelsville, Pa. ? The previous week at Grandview Speedway, Craig Von Dohren was a spectator after a heat incident sidelined him for the night. Saturday night Von Dohren and crew had the Mike Harvey-owned/Stauffer Construction No. 1C repaired and ready  for action.

The six-time and defending point champion overtook Randy Bailey on the sixth lap of the 30-lap NASCAR Whelan All-American Series modified feature and then held off the challenges of former champions Duane Howard and Jeff Strunk to win his second feature of the season in the event sponsored by Hatfield Quality Meats.

Von Dohren, who started seventh, overtook Missimer for the runner-up spot on the fifth lap and his next mission was to overtake Bailey.

The yellow was out again on the fifth lap after Shawn Reimert stopped in the fourth turn with a right-front flat tire and then pitted. The lead changed on the restart as Von Dohren charged past Bailey to take over the top spot.

While Von Dohren showed the way around the 1/3-mile oval, the battle for positions behind him ws hot and heavy between Bailey, Tschudy, Scheetz, Jr. and Strunk who started second, fifth, sixth and 11th respectively. Attempting to get into the top five from his 12th starting berth was last week?s feature winner and current point leader Duane Howard.

Lap cars were becoming part of the picture and everyone had to use heads-up driving as the front of the pack wasn?t too certain if they
