BECHTELSVILLE, PA. ? It was July 19, 2008 that Terry Meitzler last wheeled the Bailey Fabrications/Berks Products No. 81 to a modified feature victory at Grandview Speedway. The event back then was sponsored by the same as Saturday night?s sponsor ? Hatfield Quality Meats.

The Dennis Bailey-owned team has been struggling all season long and during the week they scrapped the old chassis and switched to a Higbee chassis. The change was a beneficial one since the first time out netted them a $2,750 payday in the NASCAR Whelen All-American Series 30-lap Modified feature with $250 coming from TP Trailers.

Justin Grim led until the third lap caution brought out when Ray Swinehart was spun by Andy Ressler, who was sent to the rear for the incident. On the restart rookie Tim Buckwalter, who finally had a change of luck and qualified, took the lead followed by Todd Smith, J. Grim, Kyle Follweiler and Don Norris Jr.

Norris Jr. advanced to second on the 13th lap restart needed when Follweiler slowed and Duane Howard, left with nowhere to go, collided on the backstretch ending both their nights.

The lead changed on lap 14 when Norris Jr., who won last July, charged to the head of the pack.

The order behind Norris Jr. at the Dan?s Deli 1/-way hoagie mark was Buckwalter, Doug Manmiller, Smith and Meitzler.

The final caution was on the 19th lap when Mike Gular was spun in the third turn initiated by Smith. Norris Jr. remained the leader on the restart, however by this time Meitzler, the 1999 point champion driving the E.G. Meitzler-owned No. 21A at that time, motored into second to pressure him.
