Bechtelsville, Pa. ? Jeff Strunk, sidelined by switch problems the previous week, had the Gold Rush Trailers/Touch of Green Landscaping No. 126 in top-notch running order on Saturday night at Grandview Speedway as he breezed to a fourth 30-lap NASCAR Whelen All-American Racing Series modified feature victory by a 1.989 margin over runner-up Rick Schaffer. The event was sponsored by USG Sheetrock.

Marc Fehr was the early race leader trailed by Glenn Owens, Mark Kratz, Brad Missimer and Jason Hamilton.

Hamilton, winner of the Forrest Rogers Memorial, brought out the yellow n the second lap when he lost a right rear tire and stopped in turn two.

Fehr, Owens and M. Kratz held their positions on the restart, but now Schaffer and Strunk moved into fourth and fifth.

Strunk became the new leader on the eighth lap when he stormed into the number one position.

It was only a matter of laps before Strunk was running away from the field leaving Schaffer, Doug Manmiller, Duane Howard, the current point leader, and Fehr take chase.

Strunk was already lapping cars by the 14th lap as he wa son the move.
