THE POINT BATTLE COMES TO AN END TONIGHT AT GRANDVIEW SPEEDWAY

~ Jeff Strunk,
Randy Stoudt and Jared Umbenhauer lead the point standings as NASCAR stock car
racing enters its final night at Grandview Speedway. Strunk has won the NASCAR
358 Modified title nine times, Stoudt is a past Late Model champion and Jared
Umbenhauer is looking for his third Sportsman
title.

 

 However that
is not all that will have the fans attention tonight. There are many drivers who
are out of reach for the titles that will be looking to improve their finish in
the final standings and increase the amount of money they will collect from
NASCAR and the Rogers family. It will all make for some very exciting racing
action.

 

 And a Chase
that may have been forgotten is the battle for the NASCAR Pennsylvania
championship that has Duane Howard leading Jeff Strunk by just nine points. That
championship has a significant cash value for the
winner.

 

 Howard has
already earned $10,000 for winning the American Racer Cup title beating Stewart
Friesen by just 25 points.

 

 Many of the
Modified talents will be using the race as a test session as they get ready for
the Saturday September 13th $25,000 to win Freedom 76. Guaranteed
starter Dr. Danny Johnson has indicated he will be
entered.

 

 Green Lane
Wm. Penn/Four Star Lettering Night will feature three divisions of racing
competition with adult admission priced at just $15 while youngsters 12 and
under admitted FREE.

 

 Spectator
gates open at 5:30 pm. with the Low Down and Dirty Meet & Greet taking place
at the same time and that will feature Modified racer Kevin Hirthler along with
Sportsman talent Brian Hirthler. Racing will get the green at 7:30
p.m.

 

 Advance
tickets for the $25,000 to win Freedom 76 set for Saturday, September
13th will be on sale. Adult admission is $35 while youngsters 6
through 12 will pay $10 and those 6 and under are admitted free. In addition
some laps still remain available for sponsorship for just $20. Laps can be
purchased at the track office or in the pit office.
