BILLY PAUCH JR. WINS THRILLING THUNDER ON THE HILL MODS AT THE MADHOUSE SEASON FINALE AT GRANDVIEW SATURDAY

BECHTELSVILLE, PA (October 15, 2016) – With a full moon looming over the Grandview Speedway, it was Frenchtown, NJ’s Billy Pauch Jr. battling back from a mechanical issue early in the evening to claim a hard fought win in a wild and exciting Mods at the Madhouse main event. Pauch topped a field of forty-two modifieds, taking home the $5,000 prize during Saturday night’s NAPA Auto Parts Thunder on the Hill Racing Series event presented by Pioneer Pole Buildings. RAIN STOPS THUNDER SERIES ON LAP FIFTEEN OF SPRINT FEATURE TUESDAY NIGHT AT GRANDVIEW SPEEDWAY

BECHTELSVILLE, PA (June 28, 2016) – Rain has not been a friend to Thunder on the Hill and Tuesday night was no different as the Pennsylvania 410 Sprint Speed Week Series invaded the Grandview Speedway for event one-hundred and twenty of the NAPA Auto Parts Thunder on the Hill Racing Series presented by Pioneer Pole Buildings.   Feature race leader Ryan Smith made contact with another car sending him spinning into the first turn infield on lap fifteen.  At the same time, the light mist of rain opened to a down pour.  The sprint cars returned to the pits to wait out the shower.   The amount of rain that fell over the twenty-five-minute delay, was just too much for even the Grandview Speedway track crew to correct.   As a result, the event was postponed with the completion of this show to take place on TuesdayJuly 26. BRYAN CLAUSON TOPS USAC EASTERN STORM AS RICK LAUBACH WIN 30 LAP NASCAR 358 MODIFIED FEATURE TUESDAY NIGHT

BECHTELSVILLE, PA  JUNE 7, 2016   . . . . . . Bryan Clauson of Noblesville, IN thrilled a big crowd winning the forty lap Jesse Hockett Classic AMSOIL USAC non-wing sprint car feature Tuesday night at the Grandview Speedway.  Clauson won the feature that saw as many as five cars challenging for the win.  At one point of the race, the leaders were four wide charging off of turn four.   Clauson earned $6,000 for the win.  In the thirty lap modified feature, Rick Laubach from Quakertown, PA led the entire distance after shaking off some challenges from Keith Hoffman and later in the race, Tim Buckwalter  to earn the $3,000 first place prize.   This event marked the 119th Thunder on the Hill Racing Series event presented by Pioneer Pole Buildings. There is a storm heading our way in early June, the AMSOIL Non-Wing Sprints Eastern Storm will make its tenth swing to Pennsylvania and New Jersey with opening night set for the Grandview Speedway on Tuesday night, June 7.  The one-third mile high banked Grandview Speedway is the perfect venue for these non-wing 410 sprint cars. The Ninth Annual Quaker Steak & Lube Dirt Track Heroes Show completed its week long run at the Phillipsburg Mall over the weekend and the event staff never skipped a beat with great shows and great crowds and a host of legendary racers that whisked us back to the “Golden Era” of the sport. The event was all brought to a blazing finish headlined by the honoring of Stan “The Man” Ploski on Saturday afternoon. The Friday and Saturday events were sponsored by Premio Foods, a first time sponsor of the event and who currently sponsor the racing efforts of Willie Osmun at the New Egypt Speedway. HIGHLIGHTING A TRIBUTE TO FRANKIE SCHNEIDER ROCKS 9TH ANNUAL QUAKER STEAK & LUBE DIRT TRACK HEROES SHOW

The Quaker Steak & Lube Ninth Annual Dirt Track Heroes Show completed the sixth day of the week long journey into the past, present and future of auto racing for the racing community and will head into the finale on Saturday, March 12th with a tribute slated for “The Polish Prince” Stan “The Man” Ploski through the efforts of the Dirt Track Heroes Staff and the Flemington Speedway Racing Historical Society. The Friday event highlighted a tremendous two show day that lasted right up until the Mall closed for the evening. The ninth annual edition of the show will continue through March 12th. The Friday shows were provided sponsorship by Premio Foods, Penn Jersey Food Marts, Martocci Automotive, Carl’s Auto Repair and Dean Autosports. MODIFIED STARS HIGHLIGHT THURSDAY NIGHT SHOW AT PHILLIPSBURG MALL, EVENT CONTINES THROUGH SATURDAY

The Ninth Annual Dirt Track Heroes Show continued through the fifth day of the week long journey for the racing community and another successful day went into the history books featuring the stars of the New Egypt, Bridgeport, Grandview, Big Diamond Speedways and the XCel Modified Series occupying center stage. The ninth annual edition of the show will continue through March 12th. The show continues Friday with two shows, the first at 4 PM with “The Legends Of Racing” honoring “The Old Master” Frankie Schneider and the 6:30 show paying tribute to the open wheel divisions in the local area. Saturday will also feature a racing exhibition presented by Michael Vecchio and his “Mud Boss” race cars. The Quaker Steak and Lube Ninth Annual Dirt Track Heroes Show opened Sunday, March 6 to much fanfare and enthusiasm as the Phillipsburg Mall filled up with racing fans and a panel of legendary racing stars who came out to chat about their racing exploits and to honor Hall of Fame racer “The Belvidere Bandit” Carl “Fuzzy’ Van Horn. The “Golden Era” of racing came roaring back to life as the great panel of driving stars talked of their triumphs and more importantly the many friendships they gained through their association with racing. THUNDER ON THE HILL RACING SERIES EVENTS AT GRANDVIEW SPEEDWAY

Thunder on the Hill Racing Series events are held at Grandview Speedway, one of the most historic and celebrated dirt track venues in the Northeastern United States. Located just east of Bechtelsville, Pennsylvania, Grandview Speedway is a one-third-mile, high-banked clay oval that has hosted continuous professional stock car racing since opening in 1963.

Built by Forrest Rogers and operated by the Rogers family for multiple generations, the speedway has become known for its exciting, close-quarters racing and deep roots in grassroots motorsports. The track features weekly competition in divisions such as Modifieds and Sportsman and hosts a variety of special events and touring series throughout the season.

 
       
 

ABOUT THUNDER ON THE HILL RACING SERIES

Born from the vision of Grandview Speedway owner Bruce Rogers, special events promoter Bob Miller and local driving standout Dave Kelly, the Thunder on the Hill Racing Series has become one of the most anticipated traditions on the racing calendar.

Across more than 130 marquee events, nearly $6 million in prize money has been awarded to the region’s top competitors.
