CARBURETOR RULES RESTATED

There seems to be some confusion regarding the carburetor rules that were announced when the recent engine rules were released.
The carburetor rules are as follows:
Brodix Aluminum Spec Head ?10.5 to 1? Engine – current 650CFM
Cast Iron Ford ?N? and Chevy LS-1 Head ?9 to 1? Engines – current 650CFM
All other current Cast Iron Head ?9 to 1? Engines – current 650CFM or optional 750CFM
Recent DYNO tests with the aluminum head engines using the 650CFM carburetor had them producing 545/550 horsepower. That was using two different dynos.
This is definitely a step in the right direction toward controlling costs.
Should there be any questions please email Mike Kelly at KellyMI@PTD.NET or telephone him at 610.966.4679. He is in a position to answer any questions racers may have regarding the new rules.
 HAPPY NEW YEAR.
