GRANDVIEW SPEEDWAY SATURDAY NIGHT QUICK RESULTS
BECHTELSVILLE, PA . . . Three time BRC Late Model champion Brian Shuey was able to take the Scott Lee owned Outten Jeep sponsored #177 to victory lane in the 30-lap BRC Late Model feature at Grandview on Saturday. Steve Young was able to drive the Marshall Services #187 to victory in the first of two 25-lap Sportsman feature races. Young Tim Buckwalter was able to charge to victory for the first time this season in the 30-lap TP Trailers 358 Modified feature becoming the 12th different Modified winner this season while the second Sportsman feature of the BRC Superior Products night was won by Derrick Smith.
In the Late Model main event point leader Chuck Schutz was a narrow margin behind winner Brian Shuey while Steve Todorow had another strong effort finishing third. Lou Egrie Sr. came home fourth with Drew Weisser taking fifth.
Jim Housworth came home a close second to winner Steve Young in the first 25-lapper for Sportsman. Kenny Bock took third followed by Kyle Lilick and Jordan Henn.
Hall of Famer Frank Cozze was just a very narrow margin behind winner Buckwalter in the Modified main event. Steve Swinehart came home third followed by John Willman and Doug Manmiller.
And Jordan Henn was a very close second to winner Smith in the second Sportsman feature of the night. Rookie Louden Reimert was third followed by Ryan Lilick and Craig Whitmoyer.
Coming up on September 2nd is a four division show of racing that will include the TP Trailers Modifieds, BRC Late Models, Sportsman and Blast from the Past Vintage racers. In addition the Modifieds will run in two 30-lap features including the rained out feature from August 19th. Again adults pay just $15 while youngsters 11 and under are admitted free.
Advance tickets for the 47th Annual Freedom 76 Run in Memory of Bruce Rogers will be on sale each Saturday leading up to race day on September 16th. Advance tickets are $35 for adults. On race day the tickets will sell for $40.
