GRANDVIEW SPEEDWAY RELEASES RULES FOR 2007 STOCK CAR RACINGGrandview PR
BECHTELSVILLE, PA NOVEMBER 24, 2006 . . . With one season completed just a few weeks back Grandview Speedway management has quickly put together their rules for the 2007 season, their 45th consecutive year of professional stock car racing. Again in 2007 the track will carry a NASCAR sanction.
NASCAR Modifieds will be permitted a maximum 750 CFM carburetor on all engines using alcohol or gasoline. Venturi and boosters must remain as stock.
Cast iron aftermarket engine blocks will be permitted and aluminum wheels will be allowed.
The American Racer 38 compound tire is being added for front tires.
Rear spoilers will be allowed at a maximum height of 50 inches with ? inch tolerance.
Cast iron 9-1 and aluminum spec head engines will require that the race car weigh 2400 pounds.
The cast iron Ford N, Mopar and Chevy LS-1 heads will require that the race car weigh 2500 pounds.
Racers are reminded that Raceceivers, in good working condition, will be mandatory for both classes after June 1, 2007.
In the NASCAR Late Model division there will be no rule changes for 2007.

Champions and other top performers will be honored at the 44th Annual Grandview Speedway Awards Banquet at the Kutztown, PA Fire Hall on Saturday, December 16th. Doors open at 4 p.m. and dinner will be served family style at 6 p.m.
NASCAR Modified champion Craig VonDohren, winning his sixth track title, along with car owner Chad Sinon will share $10,000 for their championship effort. VonDohren will also pick up additional point fund money from NASCAR for his Grandview efforts and his Divisional efforts as part of the Dodge Division II Weekly Series competition.
In 2007 the Weekly Series will be sponsored by Whelen and will be titled as the NASCAR Whelen All-American Series.
Tentative plans call for the season to kick off their 45th consecutive season of professional stock car racing with a free-to-the-public practice session on Saturday, March 31st. Again in 2007 the Modifieds and Late Models, with a NASCAR sanction, will be the weekly attraction with some added attractions.
