MANY DIRT TRACK GREATS HAVE WON THE THP FREEDOM 76 WHO WILL EARN THE $20,000 THIS SATURDAY, SEPT. 8?

BECHTELSVILLE, PA September 3, 2007 . . . Several of the top names in dirt track modified stock car racing have won the THP Freedom 76 at Grandview Speedway. Included in the list of past winners is Billy Pauch, Duane Howard, Jeff Strunk, Craig VonDohren, Kenny Brightbill, Doug Hoffman and others.
 This Saturday, September 8th, several of those past winners will be there looking for another victory in the $20,000 to win classic ($10,000 for second). The 76-lap race is considered by many to be the most prestigious dirt track modified racing event in the area.
 Competition for the past winners, including 2006 winner Craig VonDohren, will come from some of the top talents in the area. Dirt track racing legend Jimmy Horton will be trying for his first win in the THP Freedom 76. Others trying for the victory will include Ryan Watt, Danny Erb, David VanHorn, Doug Manmiller, Billy Pauch Jr., Mike Gular and a host of others.
 The Saturday, September 8th show will feature a full series of qualifying events as more than 70 racers are expected to try for a starting spot in the THP Freedom 76.
 The Schaffer Motorsports Minuteman 20 will give a racer a final chance to make the big event and several of the outstanding performers of the evening will get the opportunity to race in the special Cash Dash that pays $1,000 to win.
 Several special awards have been posted for the big race as Beer City in Quakertown, PA has $125 for the Hard Luck Racer and the First Alternate. Area Auto Racing News has a classy pair of driving shoes for the first racer to drop out of the 76 lap event. Cornerstone Auto Sales (Fleetwood, PA) has $100 for the Hard Charger.
 Each of the 76 laps has sponsorship and that means the leader of each lap will be adding to his bank account thanks to the generosity of fans and businesses.
 Pit gates will open at 10 am and a pit pass will cost $40. There is no license needed.
 Advance ticket holders will be able to get into the grandstand area at 3 p.m. while the ticket windows for all others will open at 3:30 pm.
 Warm-ups will start at 6 pm with the first racing event getting the green at 7 pm.
 Fans and businesses will still be able to purchase lap sponsorships on race night with any monies going to the leader of the lap purchased.
 Once the THP Freedom 76 is completed, there is a Saturday, September 15th rain date, there will be open competition Modified and Late Model stock car racing events presented. If September 15th is not used as a rain date then it will be used for open competition Modified and Late Model stock car racing followed by a second date on September 22nd.
