POINT RACE WILL BE EXTENDED SHOULD GRANDVIEW SPEEDWAY RAIN OUT ON SATURDAY, SEPT. 6TH

BECHTELSVILLE, PA September 3, 2008 . . . Should the Saturday, September 6th Tom Oates Chevy sponsored doubleheader featuring the NASCAR 358 Modifieds and Late Models at Grandview Speedway be rained out the final point events of the season will be moved to Saturday, September 20th.
?With the late model point battle so close (Chuck Schutz has a 56 point edge over Randy Stoudt) we wanted to make every effort to get this final point race in,? said promoter Bruce Rogers. ?The modified title has been decided (Jeff Strunk is the champion) but we still have some tight races for final positions in the top ten.?
However if ?Hurricane Hanna? does not cause a rainout then the September 20th show will be the Allstate Insurance sponsored four division show that will include open competition modifieds (any engine, any tires, wings and things), late models, SpeedSTRS and Legends cars starting at 7 pm.
Saturday, September 13th is reserved for the huge $20,000 to win BPG Racing Freedom 76 Modified Classic.
