QUICK RESULTS: NO RAIN JUST GREAT RACING ACTION AT GRANDVIEW SPEEDWAY AS WINS GO TO VONDOHREN, SIPE AND BELTZ IN NASCAR STOCK CAR RACING EVENTSGrandview PR
BECHTELSVILLE, PA May 28, 2016 . . . After three straight Saturday rainouts NASCAR stock car racing returned to Grandview Speedway attracting a stellar crowd on Saturday night with Craig VonDohren grabbing his second 30-lap T.P.Trailers NASCAR 358 Modified feature win of the season. Bryan Sipe earned the top spot in the BRC Late Models 25-lap main event. In the 25-lap Sportsman feature race Ryan Beltz was able to grab his first win.
Brett Kressley charged to a second place finish behind VonDohren in the Modified feature with veteran Ray Swinehart earning third. Mike Gular, continuing a strong effort in the first half of the season grabbed fourth followed by Steve Swinehart.
Devin Frey chased winner Sipe home to get second. Defending champion Chuck Schutz settled for third followed by Ron Kline and Dave Ogin.
Young Dylan Swinehart earned a second place finish in the Sportsman main event while John McGovern came home third. Brandon Whitmoyer was fourth and Nathan Mohr came home fifth.
And the Memorial Day weekend action continues with a Sunday night Pioneer Pole Buildings Thunder on the Hill three division show featuring Big Blocks/358 Modifieds, Sportsman and TSRS 305 Sprint cars in racing action starting at 7:30 p.m. Spectator gates open at 5 p.m. The Big Block/358 Modifieds will be racing for $5,000 to win and that will surely attract many top names in the sport. This will be an NASCAR point event for the 358 Modifieds that have an NASCAR license. Adult admission is $25 while young people 6-11 pay $10 and those under 6 will be admitted FREE. Pit admission is $35 with no special license required.
Next Saturday the NASCAR 358 Modifieds are back in action along with the Sportsman and Late Model stock cars with racing starting at 7:30 p.m.
