RAIN AND COLD FORCE GRANDVIEW SPEEDWAY TO CANCEL SATURDAY NASCAR RACING

BECHTELSVILLE, PA April 8, 2006 . . . Rain and bone chilling cold weather forced event organizer Bruce Rogers to cancel the Saturday show of NASCAR stock car racing at Grandview Speedway.
?We were anxious to get this one in because we were unveiling a new handicapping system for the Modified stock cars and our new second turn quard rail,? said Rogers. ?We are all excited about the new system because we feel it is going to allow some new talents to challenge for a feature starting position and it is going to make for what we feel will be a more exciting show.?
Stock car racing returns to the Berks County one-third-mile, banked clay oval on Saturday, April 15th starting at 7 p.m. A full series of qualifying events in each division, Modifieds and Late Models, will lead up to a 20-lap feature race for the Late Models and a 30-lapper starting 30 racers for the Modifieds.
The same events will be run on Saturday, April 22nd and on the final Saturday of the month the Legends cars will be added making for a Tripleheader card of racing action.
Fans are reminded that the DIRT Motorsports World of Outlaws sprint cars will be in action at Grandview Speedway on Tuesday, May 16th with advance tickets on sale at the track on race nights or by telephoning 215.860.5631 or check in at www. Tothill.com.
