RAIN WASHES OUT HATFIELD QUALITY MEATS NASCAR RACING AT GRANDVIEW

BECHTELSVILLE, PA JULY 16, 2005.?.With warm-up sessions concluded and a large field of NASCAR Dodge Weekly Series Modifieds and Late Model stock cars ready to go racing rain moved in and forced promoter Bruce Rogers to cancel the Hatfield Quality Meats Night at Grandview Speedway on Saturday.
?We had the track in great shape and we had everything ready for racing when the rain came. We tried to wait it out hoping that it was just a quick shower,? said Rogers. ?Unfortunately the rain continued and a check of the weather radar found that we were in for a long, consistent period of rain. We made the decision to cancel and not keep fans and racers hanging around hoping that the rains might stop.?
Efforts will be made to reschedule the Hatfield Quality Meats Night since it is so popular with fans.
