BECHTELSVILLE, PA May 15, 2004 . . . The rain did not last long but it came down so quick and so heavy that it left the one-third-mile banked clay oval a sea of mud forcing event organizer Bruce Rogers to call a halt to racing action as the 10th event of the night was on the track at Grandview Speedway Saturday night.

The rainout gives fans ?bargain nights? for the next two Saturdays with J&L Speed Equipment Night, May 22nd, now including the rained out consolation events, Cheers Tavern Cash Dash and a 30-lap feature for the NASCAR Dodge Weekly Series Modifieds starting at 7 p.m. Once the events from the Saturday rainout are complete there will be a complete new show that includes at least 13 events of stock car racing including a 30-lap feature for the Modifieds and 20 lap feature for the Late Models.

And on Saturday, May 29th, Rossi Welding Night, there will be two 20-lap features for the Late Models, a 30 lap feature for the Modifieds plus a full slate of qualifying events. Again the night of racing will start 30 minutes earlier than usual at 7 p.m.
