RAIN WASHES OUT SEASON OPENER 40-LAPPER AT 13 LAPS AT GRANDVIEW SPEEDWAY

BECHTELSVILLE, PA April 14, 2007 . . . All the weather forecasts indicated rain would be in the area at 10 p.m.  Ma Nature decided to arrive one hour early and brought a halt to the season opening 40-lap NASCAR Whelen All American Series Modified feature race at Grandview Speedway on Saturday night with just 13 laps completed.
 Mike Gular, in the THProperties #53, had just brought the fans to their feet with a stunning move from third to first when the rains came washing out what had been the makings of a fan pleasing main event for the NASCAR Modifieds.
 When the race is resumed Gular will be in front of the field while Doug Manmiller, Jeff Strunk, Meme DeSantis and Kevin Hirthler will round out the top five.
 Promoter Bruce Rogers has scheduled the final 27 laps of the Modified feature race to be run on Saturday, April 21st prior to the start of a full tripleheader show of racing action. The green flag will fall at 7 p.m.
 In addition to the completion of the 40-lapper the April 21st show will include the Legends stock cars as an added attraction plus a full show of NASCAR Modifieds and Late Models
 The Late Model 20-lap feature rained out on Saturday night will be run as the first event on Saturday, April 28th at 7 p.m. with a full show of NASCAR Modifieds and Late Models to follow.
 Fans are reminded that they are invited to visit with the racers in the pits after the racing action has been completed to collect autographs, take pictures and see the race cars up close. Many of the race teams do have FREE photo cards for fans and also offer t-shirts and other souvenir items for sale.
