Bechtelsville, PA August 14, 2005 . . . NASCAR Late Model racers will be in the limelight at Grandview Speedway on Saturday, August 20th when the Jerry Glase/Chuck Sennott Memorial 30 lap championship race is presented as part of 3M Night.
 The race has been created to remember two people who were important members of the Grandview family before their untimely passing. Jerry Glase was a long time employee and a very important part of the track operations who lost his battle with cancer and Chuck Sennott was a popular late model racer who was fatally injured at another area track.
 Mark Garman, a track official, was instrumental in putting the event together and has announced that the race will pay $1000 to win and will feature a beefed up purse with all starters earning extra money thanks to a long list of sponsors.
 The NASCAR Dodge Weekly Series Modifieds will also be part of the show.
 Racing will start at 7:30 p.m.
 In other news from the track, Danny Erb put on a spectacular display of driving on Saturday night during the Mavericks Motorcycle Club NASCAR Dodge Weekly Series Modified feature coming from 29th starting spot to finish 11th gaining 18 positions and earning a $100 Hard Charger bonus courtesy of Tom Oates Chevy in Chester Springs, PA. Erb?s gain of 18 spots edged our feature winner Jeff Strunk who went from 18th to first.
 The Mavericks Motorcycle Club used the Saturday night promotion to raise funds for the Alex?s Lemonade Stand Pediatric Cancer Charity.
 Jon Kellner and the Hutt?s Glass No.85 NASCAR Modified team leads the chase for the $1000 being offered by Rossi Welding of Reading and D&S Archery of Barto to the driver able to win the most NASCAR sanctioned qualifying heat races at Grandview Speedway during the season. Kellner currently has seven qualifying heat wins.
 No fans have been fortunate enough to win the BPG Racing/Chad Sinon Motorsports Pick 5 Contest so far this season. This Saturday night, August 20th, there will be $900 waiting for a fan that can pick the top five in the order they finish. Ballots are included in the official Grandview Groove track program. If no one wins all the entries will be entered in a drawing for $500 cash at the T.H.Properties Freedom 76 on September 10th. In addition all entries are entered in a drawing for BPG Racing/Jeff Strunk sportswear and another drawing will be held on August 20th with five lucky winners being announced.
 Lap sponsorships are presently available for the T.H.Properties Freedom 76. Laps are being sold for $10 and $25 each. The $10 lap gets the sponsor a mention in the program book. The $25 Special Lap Sponsorship gets the sponsor a listing in the program book and mentions on the public address system during the event date. Lap sponsorship money goes to the leader of the lap being sponsored. Almost half of the laps have already been taken.
