Bechtelsville, PA ? The previous Saturday night at Grandview Speedway, Mike Kellner was denied victory in the 50-lap NASCAR late model feature due to a turn of events before getting to the finish line. This week the Lansdale leadfoot put the Mary Kay/Power Washer No. 57 into the lead at the Dan?s Deli ?-way hoagie mark and went on to capture his first win of the season in the 20-lap event with defending point champion Chuck Schutz chasing him across the line. Kellner earned a $1,000 payday with T.P. Trailers posting an additional $100 and Jeff Teets, a former late model driver and point champion, another $100.

Wayne Pfeil was the early pacesetter with heavy pressure from Kellner, Jason Miller, Andy Ressler and Danny Snyder.

Pfeil stuck to the inside path and Kellner ran the high line as the pair battled side-by-side for the number one position.

A four-car fourth turn accident brought out the first caution period with six laps completed. Pfeil stayed in command when action resumed with Kellner allowing no margin for error. Behjind them Snyder, Miller and Sean Merkel jockeyed for positions waiting for a miscue by either one in hopes of advancing a spot.

The lead changed on the tenth lap when Kellner succeeded to overtake Pfeil after several laps of door-handle-to-door-handle racing.

The yellow was thrown on the 13th lap for a tangle between the third and fourth turn. Before the race restarted Pfeil was sent to the pits as a piece of metal was hanging from the back of his car ending his fine run. Pfeil relinquished second to Snyder and it looked like a remake of last week. Kellner stuck to the outside lane when action went green again and Snyder made several attempts to duck underneath him with Schutz, Merkel and Kline waiting in the wings.
