Bechtelsville, Pa. ? It looked like Bard Missimer, who hasn?t won at Grandview Speedway since September 11, 2010, was headed toward victory lane until five laps to go in the 30-lap NASCAR Whelen All-American series modified feature on Saturday night. That?s when Duane Howard piloted the BPG Racing No. 4 into the lead and went on to chalk up his fourth win of the season. The night was ironically sponsored by BPG Racing. Howard gave the dedicated crew led by Alan Finch high praises in victory lane for their success.

Rookie Jason Clauss led for six laps before the yellow came out when Kyle Follweiler stopped on the backstretch. On the restart Ray Swinehart, looking for his first win at the oval since May 2, 2009, charged to the head of the pack followed by Clauss, Missimer, Justin Grim and Todd Smith.

Chris Esposito stopped in the second turn for the next yellow on the eighth lap. The restart saw Missimer motor past Swinehart for the top spot.

While Missimer set the pace, Swinehart, Glenn and Jeff Strunk and J. Grim jockeyed for positions.

The caution was out again for Carroll Hine?s second turn spin. Missimer continued to lead, but now the order behind him consisted of J. Strunk, Howard, Swinehart and Craig Von Dohren.

Missimer ran the high side while Jeff Strunk stayed low as the pair dueled while Howard, Von Dohren and Swinehart anticipated a slip up.

Howard overtook second on the 24th lap and set his sights on Missimer.

The lead changed for the fourth time when Howard took over on the 25th circuit.

Once Howard was in control he never looked back and went on to chalk up his 45th career
