Bechtelsville, Pa. ? Last Saturday night at Grandview Speedway Craig Von Dohren was the first driver out of the 30-lap NASCAR Whelen All-American Racing Series modified feature. This week Von Dohren, coming off a feature win the previous night at Big Diamond Raceway, Minersville, started 12th in the 28-car starting grid and by the 11th lap he was in the lead. The former point champion held on to the lead the remaining laps on a ?slick? track and won his third feature of the season behind the wheel of the Felty Farms/Kauffman BBQ Chicken No. 1C in the event sponsored by Rastelli Direct.

Before the first lap could be completed, outside polesitter and rookie Kevin Albert Jr. spun coming out of the fourth turn for the first yellow. On the restart A.J. DeSantis grabbed the early lead followed by Andy Burkhart, rookie Dan Waisempacher, Jason Smythe and Jarrad Miller, also a rookie.

Carroll Hine III, Jon Kellner Jr. and Terry Meitzler caused the next yellow when they tangled in the fourth turn on he third lap with Hine III and Kellner Jr. through for the night. A.J. DeSantis was still the leader when action resumed, but by now Danny Erb was in the runner-up position challenging for the lead with Smythe, Ryan Grim and Miller in pursuit.

Von Dohren was in third by the ninth lap, just waiting for A.J. DeSantis or Erb to falter.

While A.J. DeSantis and Erb stuck with the low lane battling for the lead, Von Dohren took the outside trek making it three-wide and was the new leader on the 11th lap.

Doug Manmiller stopped in the second turn on the 13th lap for the next caution period. It was still Von Dohren in front trailed by Erb, A.J. DeSantis, Grim and Miller.

Jeff Strunk moved into the top five on the 15th lap restart needed when Jason Hamilton was spun in the second turn and Jason Smythe was placed to the rear for the incident.
