Bechtelsville, Pa. ? Jeff Strunk, driving the Glenn Hyneman-owned Gold Rush Trailers No. 126, has been winless this season at Grandview Speedway until Saturday night. The defending champion and current point leader overtook Ryan Beltz on the 18th lap and went on to capture his first victory of the year in the 30-lap NASCAR Whelen All-American Racing Series modified feature.

Beltz held the early lead from his pole position trailed by Tommy Scheetz Jr., Todd Marburger, Kevin Hirthler and Cliff Quinn.

Sean Merkel brought out the first of several caution periods when he spun in the first turn with one lap completed. Marburger was in the fourth turn wall on the restart and the next attempt was void for a second turn multi-car incident. After three tries to complete the second lap, Beltz was still in front with Scheetz, Tschudy, Quinn and Mike Gular in pursuit.

The yellow waved once again on the third lap after Doug Manmiller was facing the wrong direction in the fourth turn. The restart was red flagged as Quinn was in the homestretch wall with heavy impact and Bruce Hirthler flipped with several others involved. Both drivers were uninjured, but their cars sustained heavy damage. Also eliminated was Tom Umbenhauer. Gular was sent to the rear of the pack for a rule infraction that initiated the incident. At that point with only three laps completed the restart went single-file hoping that may help. It was still Beltz in front of the pack when action resumed with Scheetz Jr., Terry Meitzler, Stewart Friesen and Tschudy trying to change the status.

While Beltz and Scheetz Jr. diced for the lead and Meitzler anticipated a false move, Friesen, Strunk and Ryan Godown had their own race for fourth with neither driving giving in.

By the half-way marker the running order was comprised of Beltz, Scheetz Jr., Strunk, Meitzler and Friesen.

Strunk, who started 15th, moved into second on the 17th lap to pressure Beltz and by the 18th lap he put the Touch of Green Landscaping mount into the lead.

In a few laps Strunk opened some daylight and began approaching lap traffic by lap 24 with Friesen, Beltz, Scheetz Jr. and Meitzler chasing him.

No more restarts were needed once they went single file and at the drop of the checkered Strunk was in victory lane to claim a long-awaited win followed by Friesen and Beltz, who posted their season best finishes; Meitzler, a feature inner this season and Scheetz Jr., another driver that recorded his best finish. Rounding out the top ten were Godown, Meme DeSantis, Kerry Kratz, Danny Erb and Jason Hamilton.

Bechtelsville, PA ? Mike Kellner picked up his third 20-lap NASCAR late model feature victory of the season while Randy Stoudt scored his second win on Saturday night at Grandview Speedway.
Kellner?s win was from the May 31 postponed portion of the show halted by a visit from Mother Nature while Stoudt?s was from the regular show.

Ed Trimbur was the early pacesetter being pressured by Bill Henning, Kyle Merkel, Bryon Sipe and Dean Stoudt.

     D. Stoudt brought out the first yellow when he spun along the homestretch win one lap completed. The restart was void as Harry Henning III spun between the first and second turns. Trimbur maintained t
