Bechtelsville, Pa. ? It appears that since Jeff Strunk, behind the wheel of the BDS No. 88, found his way to victory lane at Grandview Speedway, it?s hard to keep him out of it. For the third race now he crossed the line first as the checkered fell in the 30-lap NASCAR Dodge Weekly Racing Series modified feature. The five-time defending point

champion didn?t have an easy task of collecting his fourth win of the season as runner-up Kyle Weiss, who was looking for his second win, gave him no room to falter.

Polesitter Todd Smith grabbed the early lead and held that position for five laps until Todd Marburger overpowered him the sixth time around.

The battle for positions behind Marburger was hot and heavy between Smith, Weiss, Cliff Quinn and Barry Readinger.

Jon Kellner brought out the first yellow with 12 laps completed when he stopped in the fourth turn with a flat tire. It took three tries to get the next lap in, but once they did Marburger was still at the head of the pack followed by Weiss, Smith, Quinn and  Readinger.

A fourth turn tangle between Mike Gular and Rich Wisdo had the yellow waving on the 14th lap. On the restart Weiss outgunned Marburger to become the new pacesetter.

The order behind Weiss was now comprised of Marburger, Smith, Readinger and Craig Von Dohren. Attempting to get into a top five spot was Strunk, who started 16th, and he did so by the 18th lap.

Gular, Doug Manmiller and Rick Schaffer, who returned to action for the first time this season, tangled in the second turn on the 18th lap. The final restart was void when Shawn Reimert stopped in the first turn. Once action resumed   Weiss was still in front with the challengers comprised of Marburger, Smith, Strunk and Readinger.

Strunk advanced to second on the 23rd lap and set his sights on Weiss.

Weiss held onto the outside lane and Strunk was trying to make his move down low.

The pair  battled for several laps before the lead changed for the fourth and final time on the 26th lap.

Behind Strunk and Weiss, dicing for positions were Marburger, Danny Erb and Von Dohren with neither one giving in.
Strunk never faltered and pulled the Big Spring Car Wash/Will?s Industrial Painting machine into victory lane for his 37th career win. Chasing Strunk across the line for their best finishes in awhile were Weiss, Marburger, Erb and Von Dohren. Rounding out the top ten were Smith, Tom Umbenhauer, Kevin Hartnett, Barry Readinger and Kevin Hirthler.

Bechtelsville, PA ? Chuck Schutz, who won the Firecracker 40-lap late model championship race in 2004 at Grandview Speedway, overtook the lead on the 16th lap restart, had to survive numerous restarts plus pressure at times from Rick Todorow, but he still hung on to put the BPG No. ONE into victory lane by a healthy margin on Saturday night.

Four-time point champion Dean Stoudt started on the pole and wasted no time pulling away trailed by John Giesler, Buddy Wharton, Mike Kellner and Schutz.

In a few laps Giesler and Kellner were putting on a fierce battle for second while Dean Stoudt opened some daylight.
