Bechtelsville, Pa. ? Craig Von Dohren, who is having a rather hot and cold season at Grandview Speedway, put the Main Engine powered, Stauffer Construction sponsored/Mike Harvey owned No. 1C into the lead on the 13th lap of the 30-lap NASCAR Whelen All-American Racing Series modified feature on Saturday night. The defending point champion then dealt with lap traffic and a rapidly approaching current point leader and runner-up Jeff Strunk to win his fourth feature of the season. The evening?s activities were sponsored by Zuber Realty of Boyertown.

Mike Laise, who is showing steady improvement each week, took the early lead from his pole starting position with pressure coming from Rich Wisdo, Cliff Quinn, Chris Esposito and Sean Merkel.

The first yellow was on the eighth lap when Ryan Watt found himself facing the wrong direction along the homestretch. Kevin Hirthler also became involved. Both drivers were out for the night. Laise continued to set the pace on the restart with Wisdo and Von Dohren right on his bumper with Quinn and Esposito in tow.

Laise and Wisdo battled for the number one spot for several laps before Wisdo became the new leader on the 11th lap and Von Dohren followed through for the runner-up spot at the same time.

The lead changed for the third time when Von Dohren moved into first on the lucky 13th lap.

While Von Dohren showed the way around the 1/3-mile oval, the battle for positions behind him was hot and heavy between Wisdo, Strunk, Laise and Rick Schaffer.

Strunk overtook second on the 16th lap and now the chase was on to reel in Von Dohren.

On the 20th lap as Von Dohren approached lap traffic Donny Erb, who had a flat tire managed to pull his car into the infield and not bring out a yellow.

With Von Dohren having to somewhat slow his pace to deal with slower moving cars, Strunk was able to close in on him.

The second and final caution period that brought the field together was on the 26th lap as Terry Meitzler had tire issues and stopped in the first turn. Von Dohren wasted no time pulling away on the restart as he knew Strunk was right behind waiting for him to falter.

The lead never changed once Von Dohren was in control and at the drop of the checkered he captured his 59th career win. Finishing second was Strunk followed by Schaffer, Wisdo and Kerry Kratz.

Bechtelsville, PA ? The old saying, ?it isn?t over until it?s over,? held true in the 20-lap NASCAR Whelen All-American Series late model feature sponsored by Zuber Realty of Boyertown on Saturday night at Grandview Speedway.
Randy Stoudt, who dropped out on the first lap of the feature with engine problems the previous week, was trying since the 13th lap to pass Greg Hoffmaster the leader since the drop of the green. Finally as the pair took the one lap to go signal and headed down the backstretch with puffs of smoke coming from Hoffmaster?s car, as he was experience power steering problems, Stoudt managed to pass Hoffmaster and claim his fourth feature win.

Hoffmaster wasted no time staying in front at the drop of the green
