Bechtelsville, Pa. ? Craig Von Dohren started in the lucky 13th spot and steadily proceeded to the front of the pack in the 41st annual Pioneer Pole Building/Forrest Rogers Memorial 50-lap NASCAR Whelen All-American modified feature on Saturday night at Grandview Speedway. By the 18th lap he piloted his self-owned No. 1C/Felty Farms/PPB mount into the runner-up spot to challenge Terry Meitzler for the lead. Von Dohren became the new leader on the 20th lap, dealt with lap traffic and handily collected his fourth win of the season. It was his fifth win in the event that he won in ?86, ?01, ?06 & ?08 as he pulled the Kauffman?s BBQued Chicken/Wide Open Engines car into victory lane. Von Dohren had high praises for Jason Bashore, Mike Harvey, the crew and sponsors for all their help. It was fitting to win the event sponsored by one of his sponsors Pioneer Pole Building.

Outside pole starter Jack Swain grabbed the early lead trailed by Kyle Follweiler, Terry Meitzler, Addison Meitzler and Glenn Strunk. Doug Manmiller brought out the first yellow when he stopped in the second turn. At the same time, defending race winner Duane Howard pitted with rear-end problems and was through for the night. Swain remained in front on the restart with T. Meitzler challenging.

Swain ran the high line with T. Meitzler down low as the pair battled for first.

The yellow was out again when Kevin Albert Jr. and Tommy Scheetz Jr. tangled in the second turn. Before action resumed Swain went pitside relinquishing the lead to T. Meitzler. The restart put father Terry and son Addison Meitzler side-by-side and the elder Meitzler wasted no time keeping the Bailey Fabrications No. 81 at the head of the pack. Behind T. Meitzler, a former point champion, battling for positions were A. Meitzler, Von Dohren, G. Strunk and Kevin Hirthler.

The third and final caution was brought out by Ryan Grim when he stopped in the first turn with 17 laps completed. T. Meitzler was still the leader on the restart, but now Von Dohren was second putting his bids in for the top spot.

The lead changed for the third time on the 20th lap as Von Dohren was now at the head of the pack with T. and A. Meitzler, G. Strunk and Ryan Godown in pursuit.
