$10,000 TO WIN HODNETT CUP ATTRACTING STELLAR FIELD FOR 410 SPRINT & MODIFIED DOUBLE HEADER AT GRANDVIEW TUESDAY, JUNE 29

BECHTELSVILLE, PA June 26, 2021 . . . . . . The NAPA Auto Parts Thunder on the Hill Racing Series gears up for the Red Robin Pennsylvania 410 Sprint Speed Week event set for Tuesday night, June 29 at the Grandview Speedway. Expected entries include Kyle Larson, Christopher Bell, Rico Abreu, Freddie Rahmer, Danny Dietrich, Lance Dewease, Brent Marks, Anthony Macri and Lucas Wolfe just to name a few. This star filled roster will chase the $10,000 to win 35 lap Hodnett Cup. Joining the 410 sprints in his high-charged event will be the 358 Modifieds, also competing in qualifying leading up to a 30 lap $3,000 to win feature. Gates open at 5 PM with race time set for 7:30 PM.

The 358 Modifieds, the weekly division at the Grandview Speedway unite the two premier divisions in one spectacular racing program.. Likely modified entries include Brett Kressley, Craig VonDohren, Jared Umbenhauer, Jeff Strunk, Duane Howard, Danny Bouc, Rick Laubach, Doug Manmiller, Kyle Weiss and Billy Pauch Jr.

Greg Hodnett, a six time Thunder Champion and nine time Thunder on the Hill feature winner is being remembered after losing his life in a racing accident in 2018 at another speedway. The Hodnett Cup, a perpetual trophy was fabricated from one of Greg’s many trophies, a base was added where names of future event winners will be engraved. As a perpetual trophy, it will be available on race day for Victory Lane celebration, the winner’s name will be added along with the event date, and the trophy will be on display year-round at the Eastern Museum of Motor Racing at the Latimore Valley Fairgrounds. Aaron Reutzel was first to win the Hodnett Cup in 2019 and last year, it was Kyle Larson who took the victory in the 2020 Thunder on the Hill Speed Week event at Grandview Speedway.

Advance tickets are available by calling 443 513 4456. Please speak clearly and provide your first and last name and the number of tickets you need. Tickets may be paid for and picked up at the WILL CALL window on race night. Advance ticket holders may enter the grandstands at 4:30 PM. Advance tickets orders can be processed up to the day before the race.

We ask that you bring exact change when purchasing your advance tickets, general admission tickets and Pit Passes. Adult admission tickets are $30, children 6 to 11 are $10 and children 5 and under will be admitted free. The Pit fee is $40 and a license is not required.

THUNDER ON THE HILL RACING SERIES EVENTS AT GRANDVIEW SPEEDWAY

Thunder on the Hill Racing Series events are held at Grandview Speedway, one of the most historic and celebrated dirt track venues in the Northeastern United States. Located just east of Bechtelsville, Pennsylvania, Grandview Speedway is a one-third-mile, high-banked clay oval that has hosted continuous professional stock car racing since opening in 1963.

Built by Forrest Rogers and operated by the Rogers family for multiple generations, the speedway has become known for its exciting, close-quarters racing and deep roots in grassroots motorsports.
