BECHTELSVILLE, PA November 18, 2008 . . . If you are looking for a great gift for someone special on that Christmas gift list and they happen to be a short track racing fan, a season pass for all the Saturday NASCAR stock car racing events at Grandview Speedway just might be what you are looking for. The Saturday night programs will also include some special added attractions including the United Racing Company sprint cars for two events.
2008 season pass holders were able to save some ?big bucks? as there were just a couple of rainouts so they got to use their pass for  about 24 Saturday night events and that included the big specials such as the Forrest Rogers Memorial and the BPG Racing Freedom 76.
?There will be no increase in the cost of the season pass for 2009. It will remain a $275 bargain,? said promoter Bruce Rogers. ?They get to see all the Saturday night events, don?t have to wait in line to buy a ticket and they can also choose to have a reserved seat that will be their seat every Saturday night. It is a great deal for an ardent fan of stock car racing at Grandview.?
Season tickets are now available for just $275. For complete information telephone 610.754.7688.
Management of Grandview Speedway has also announced that the annual awards banquet will return to the Gilbertsville, PA Fire Hall. The 2009 banquet will take place on December 5th.
?Being able to return to Gilbertsville will allow more racers and fans to attend,? said Rogers. ?Kutztown, PA Fire Hall was a great banquet site for the last few years but there is just a need for more space. We can have that space by going back to Gilbertsville.?
The 2009 stock car racing season will get the green flag on Saturday, March 28th with the traditional ?free-to-the-public? practice session which is open to all divisions of competition. It will start at noon.
Officially the season opens on Saturday, April 4th, 7 p.m. with NASCAR 358 Modifieds and Late Models.
The full schedule for the new season will be released in the near future.
?There is a great deal of interest in the new season. Half of the dates for Saturday night stock car racing already have sponsors,? said track marketing director Ernie Saxton. ?We are excited about 2009. We offer some great family entertainment with very reasonable ticket prices, free parking, every seat offers a grand view,  bring your own refreshments and fans can visit with the competitors after the races are over. It makes for a great family night out.?
