BECHTELSVILLE, PA April 23, 2004 . . . NASCAR ShorTrack Late Model racers at Grandview Speedway will have something extra to race for this season courtesy of Devine Transport of Honey Brook, PA.

?Having been a Late Model racer myself I just felt that I wanted to put a little something extra out there for the racers to chase after,? said Bill Devine, owner of the No. 70D NASCAR Modified driven by Craig VonDohren. ?I know what I had invested in my Late Model back then so I just figured the bonus money would be a good idea.?

The Late Model racer winning the most NASCAR sanctioned qualifying heat races during the 2004 season will earn the biggest share of the $1,000 in bonus money being posted by Devine Transport and that will be $500. Second spot in the chase for the heat wins will receive $200 followed by $175 for third, $150 for fourth and $100 for fifth. The cash awards will be presented at the Grandview Speedway Awards Banquet in November, 2004.

Devine Transport fields a fleet of transfer trailers and specializes in trash hauling.

The NASCAR Modifieds at Grandview Speedway also have a bonus bucks program in place for the driver that wins the most NASCAR sanctioned qualifying heat races during the season.

Rossi Welding of Reading and D&S Archery of Barto sponsor the $1,000 cash award. Meme DeSantis took home the cash award in 2003 winning the most heat races.

The NASCAR Dodge Weekly Series Modified and Late Model racers have the opportunity to race for two point funds at Grandview Speedway. NASCAR offers one point fund and the Rogers family posts the second point fund.

And NASCAR has posted $1.7 million in point fund
