BECHTELSVILLE, PA January 11, 2006 . . . NASCAR stock car racing will be the main attraction at Grandview Speedway in 2006. The 44th consecutive season of professional stock car racing at the one-third-mile, banked clay oval will get the green flag on Saturday, March 25th, 12 noon. A free-to-the-public practice session will be the attraction with the session open to all types of race cars.
 The chase for the 2006 championships for Modifieds and Late Model stock cars will start on Saturday, April 1, 7 p.m. when a doubleheader show will be topped by a 40-lap main event for the Modified stock cars.
 ?Before the rumors start, they normally do about this time of the year, the speedway is not closing. The track is not sold.? said track owner Bruce Rogers. ?We are offering a solid schedule of Saturday night stock car racing with several special events being tossed in during the 2006 season. We are looking to have an exciting season of racing.?
 Former track champion Duane Howard will be returning to action at Grandview Speedway driving the Chad Sinon owned BPG Racing #4 Modified. He will have stiff competition from such talented racers as Jon Kellner, Ryan Watt, five time track champion Craig VonDohren, Terry Meitzler, Danny Erb, Mike Gular, Ray Swinehart and a host of others.
 Rogers also pointed out that Grandview Speedway will continue to be a NASCAR sanctioned speedway. Rumors had been circulating that the track would go independent this year.
 In addition to the full schedule of Saturday night stock car racing Rogers will again team up with Bob Miller to present five Thunder on the Hill promotions that offer fans an opportunity to see a variety of auto racing attractions.
