BECHTELSVILLE, PA August 9, 2006 . . . There will be some new rules in place for the T.H.Properties Freedom 76 Classic at Grandview Speedway set to take place on Saturday, September 9th. The biggest race of its type in the area pays $20,000 to the winner of the 358 Modified event.
 The new rules will allow 363 cubic inch (maximum) engines. Those with 10.5-1 maximum compression ratio with Brodix Spec Heads will be allowed a 750 cfm carburetor. Those using the current 9-1 cast iron head engines will be allowed the 750 cfm carburetor and teams using the Chevy LS-1 and Ford N Head will use the 650 cfm carburetor. All carburetors must have stock venturi and booster dimensions. Engines are subject to a spot check both before and after the race events.
 Cars must weigh 2400 lbs with the driver.
 Alcohol or gasoline will be allowed.
 Any American Racer tire, maximum size 29/11, will be allowed.
 Aluminum wheels will be allowed but no dzus fastened wheel covers.
 No cockpit adjustable components except pan hard rod will be allowed.

 Over the years some very well known names in the sport have won the Classic including Kenny Brightbill, Meme DeSantis, Billy Pauch, Fred Rahmer, Doug Hoffman, Duane Howard, Jeff Strunk, Craig VonDohren, and a host of others. Last year?s winner Ray Swinehart will be back to try for a second straight victory.
 More than 80 entries are expected to make qualifying attempts for the 76-lap event which will offer $20,000 to win plus lap sponsorship money.
 The September 9th event will have a September 16th rain date. If that is not needed then an open competition Modified and Late Model show will be presented.

Lap sponsorship, the money goes to the leader of the lap chosen, goes for just $10 a lap except for laps 10,20,30,40,50,60,70 and 76 which are priced at $25 each. More than half of the 76 laps already have sponsorship.
