He was in fourth on the 22nd lap, shot past Ryan Grim and John Willman and proceeded to dive between a lapped car and underneath leader Justin Grim to take over the lead on the 23rd lap. He kept everyone at bay behind him the remainder of the race to win his first 30-lap Modified feature of the season behind the wheel of the Lee Miller Auto Sales No. 44M, in the event sponsored by WNPV-1440 AM radio. Popular veteran racer Doug Manmiller drove to his first win of the season in the 30-lap T.P.Trailers NASCAR 358 Modified feature race.         Young Steve Todorow added his name to the long list of Grandview Speedway feature winners on Saturday night winning the 25-lap WNPV-1440AM Radio sponsored BRC Late Model feature race. Garden State racer Brian Papiez, a newcomer to Grandview this season, won the 25-lap Sportsman feature for his fourth win of the season. Todorow and Manmiller’s wins brought the total feature wins total to 26 different drivers.  Chuck Schutz earned his eighth BRC Late Model championship. Craig VonDohren finished on top in the Modified standings for the 9th time, his first title going back to 1988. BECHTELSVILLE, PA AUGUST 28, 2016 . . .  The previous Saturday night, Duane Howard’s car sat in the Grandview Speedway pits destroyed due to an on track accident. The Norm Hansell owned No. 357H team worked diligently during the week and had another car prepared for the five-time track Modified point champion and the effort paid off. This Saturday night Howard started 14th in the 28-car starting grid and with three laps to go in the 30-Lap T.P. Trailers NASCAR 358 Modified All-American Racing Series feature sponsored by A.D. Moyer Hardware & Lumber, he managed to wrestle the lead away from DIRT Hall of Famer Frank Cozze on a restart. He never gave up the lead and this time he parked the car in victory lane for his third win of the season. He was thankful that Hansell put him in his second car to teammate Brett Kressley to give him the opportunity to compete at the 1/3-mile oval after losing his regular ride a few weeks prior. BECHTELSVILLE, PA April 17, 2017 . . . Duane Howard lost the T.P. Trailers NASCAR 358 Modified opener feature at Grandview as he had the lapped cars as obstacles that allowed eventual winner Craig VonDohren to reel him in and pass him for the win. In the second outing Howard didn’t want another one to slip by him. He was glad lapped traffic, “obeyed the move over flag, even though he had to work through them in the closing stages.” He could run the Petruska-owned Atlas Paving No. 66 on the top or bottom as the crew, “worked hard this week to provide him with a top notch car.” Howard showed his appreciation when he won the 35-lap Modified feature to claim $3,500 plus in his 69th career win by a comfortable margin over runner-up Mike Gular in the event broadcast by RCN-TV. Duane Howard wheeled the Atlas Paving Modified to victory on Saturday night in the 35-lap NASCAR T.P.Trailers 358 Modified feature race at Grandview Speedway earning in excess of $3500 for his efforts.  It did not take former Late Model champion Brian Shuey long to get back into the swing of things. After being away from the sport for a few years Shuey was able to put the Scott Lee owned Savage 61 racer in victory lane winning the 25-lap BRC NASCAR Late Model feature race.
