APPROACHING  RAIN &  THUNDER STORMS FORCE THUNDER ON THE HILL TO CANCEL 2021 SEASON FINALE AT GRANDVIEW SPEEDWAY SATURDAY

BECHTELSVILLE,  PA  OCTOBER 16, 2021 .  .   .   .   .   .   .   For most of the week there was the forecast for rain on Saturday, October 16 in Bechtelsville, PA.   Today’s update at 1 PM is no better and now shows a 90% chance of  rain and thunder storms through the afternoon and into the evening.   As many of you understand, this is the absolute worse timing for rain as it hampers track preparation and leaves many travelers and race teams wondering what to do.    So it is with great disappointment, that we are cancelling the Roaring Triple 20’s Thunder on the Hill Racing Series event at Grandview Speedway tonight, Saturday, October 16. AFTER 55 YEARS OF BEING INVOLVED ERNIE SAXTON RETIRES FROM GRANDVIEW SPEEDWAY

BECHTELSVILLE, PA OCTOBER 14, 2021 . . . Eight years ago, I retired as the NASCAR sanctioned Grandview Speedway announcer after 45 years in the booth.  The plan had been to retire from everything.  At that time, Bruce and Theresa Rogers asked me to stick around as their PR person until they could find someone else to step into that position.  Now, After 55 years of public relations, marketing and announcing work at NASCAR sanctioned Grandview Speedway, at age 79, it seems it is time to retire. BECHTELSVILLE, PA    SEPTEMBER 29,  2021   . . . . . . .  The NAPA Auto Parts Thunder on the Hill Racing Series returns to the Grandview Speedway on Saturday night, October 16 presenting the Pioneer Pole Buildings Triple Roaring 20’s for Big Block/358 Modifieds.   The Sportsman will also be on the program that will get underway at 6 PM.   A series of qualifying events will determine the twenty-four car starting field for the Big Block/358 Modified feature events.  Each feature will pay $2,000 to win.  If one driver should win all three features, they would earn $6,000 plus a $5,000 bonus from PPB making the payoff worth $11,000.   There is also a $1,000 PPB Bonus for any driver that wins two feature events.  That $5,000 PPB bonus for a three win sweep is possible as a 4-6-8 inversion will be used for the second and third features. Twelve time Grandview Speedway T.P.Trailers Modified champion Craig Von Dohren has been named the 2021 NASCAR Advance Auto Parts Weekly Series Northeast Region champion earning the veteran Oley, PA driver $15,000. This goes along with the $3,500 that that popular racer earned from NASCAR as track champion and $10,000 that he received from the Rogers family for winning their Grandview Speedway track title. QUICKEE RESULTS FROM 51ST ANNUAL FREEDOM 76, RYAN GODOWN WINS 51ST ANNUAL FREEDOM 76 AT GRANDVIEW EARNS OVER $30K

BECHTESLVILLE, PA SEPT. 18, 2021 . . . For the first time in his outstanding career Ryan Godown, a winner and champion at a number of area speedways, was able to win the 51st Annual Freedom 76 on Saturday night at Grandview Speedway. For the win, his first in the 76er Classic, the New Jersey racer earned more than $30K. Finishing a close second after leading a number of laps was Jeff Strunk who was looking for his ninth win in the Freedom 76. QUICKEE RESULTS FROM GRANDVIEW SPEEDWAY FREEDOM38

BECHTELSVILLE, PA SEPT. 17, 2021 . . . Young Jordan Henn was able to win the Freedom 38 Sportsman race at Grandview Speedway Friday night and take home the $2,200 first place money. Henn also earned honors for being the highest finishing Crate Sportsman racer after starting in the number one position. Finishing second was veteran racing talent Kevin Hirthler who came from 22nd starting spot in the 38 lap race. Grabbing third was Steve Davis followed by Brett Gilmore and Mark Kemmerer.
