ASTOUND TV NETWORK (RCN) RETURNS TO GRANDVIEW SPEEDWAY FOR SELECT RACE EVENTS IN 2022
VP RACING FUELS BRUCE ROGERS MEMORIAL MONEY MAKER OPENS SEASON APRIL 2

BECHTELSVILLE, PA. -  Race teams and race fans alike will be happy to hear that a familiar company with a new name will be returning to Grandview Speedway for the 2022 season of racing.
After a two-year hiatus, select Saturday night race programs will once again be televised from Grandview Speedway on Astound TV Network (ATVN). Formerly RCN-TV, the network’s name change is part of a larger rebranding of RCN to Astound Broadband, a transition plan that was announced last week. RCN, along with several of its sister companies, together form the sixth largest U.S. internet, TV and phone operator under the Astound Broadband name.
Astound TV Network (ATVN) will once again produce the race events on six selected Saturday nights, and broadcast those races on a tape-delayed basis on the following Tuesday nights, with further replays to follow. ATVN airs on channel 4/1004 HD (Lehigh Valley) and channel 8 / 608 HD in Delaware County. The air dates and times of the races can be found at astound.com/ATVN.
The selected Saturday night events, which all include the T.P. Trailer NASCAR Modifieds and T.P. Truck Equipment NASCAR Sportsman, are on May 7 (plus wingless Super Sportsman), May 21, June 11 (plus 602 Sportsman), July 9, July 30 (plus 602 Sportsman), and the final one will be the 52nd annual Forrest Rogers Memorial on August 13.
Grandview Speedway management welcomes the return, as race teams have enjoyed having the race events shown on ATVN in the past and with the return for the 2022 season, it is yet another way to get their race team sponsors additional exposure.
The new season of racing will be the 60th consecutive at Grandview, and will begin with a double-header of Outlaw Racing Series Enduro and Outlaw Racing Series Vintage action on March 19 starting at 1 pm.
The following week on March 26, will be the annual free-to-the-public practice session open to all divisions starting at 12 noon.
The official Opening Night will be on April 2, with the running of the 5th annual VP Racing Fuels Bruce Rogers Memorial Money Maker for Big Block/Small Block Modifieds. New for this year, this event will now be 60-laps and pay $10,060 to win, along with a cool $1060 to take the green in the feature. The race winner will also be a guaranteed starter for the 2022 Freedom 76. If needed, April 9 is the rain date for the opener, and a complete show of Sportsman is also on the card.
Race time for Opening Night on April 2 is 6 pm. All fans and race teams are reminded that all Saturday night events in the month of April will be starting at 6 pm, before reverting back to the regular 7:30 pm starting time on May 7.
Grandview racers and crew members will be able to get a jump on renewing their NASCAR memberships for the 2022 season. In an effort to get more memberships processed ahead of opening night, NASCAR will be offering discounted pricing for members that renew their license online. NASCAR encourages everyone purchasing a license to do so online for the discounted price. Any new members or minors can still fill out the paperwork and get the discounted price, however they must mail the paperwork into NASCAR.  If you pay at the track, the price will be increased. For any specific membership questions, please email [email protected]
