BECHTELSVILLE, PA - The 60th anniversary season of professional auto racing at Grandview Speedway will begin with a traditional big race becoming even bigger!

To celebrate the Speedway's 60th season in 2022, the traditional opening event, Saturday, April 2, with the 5th annual Bruce Rogers Memorial Money Maker for Big Block/Small Block Modifieds will see some exciting changes. Since it was first run in 2018, the race honoring the late track owner and promoter has been run over the 50-lap distance and paid the winner a handsome $7500.00 to win and a cool $1000.00 to take the green.

New for this season, the number 60 will be used to celebrate the track's anniversary. The race distance will now go 60-laps, the race winner will now receive a $10,060.00 pay envelope for winning this prestigious event and it will now pay $1060.00 to qualify and take the green in the feature race!

Grandview Speedway is also pleased to announce that VP Racing Fuels is back once again to sponsor the Bruce Rogers Memorial on Opening Night. They will also be providing product certificates to the top finishing drivers in both the Modified and Sportsman features every Saturday night throughout the upcoming season that are using VP Racing Fuels and have the proper decals displayed on their cars.

Also, new for this year's event, the winner of the VP Racing Fuels Bruce Rogers Memorial Money Maker will become a guaranteed starter for the Freedom 76 Modified Classic on September 17.

This will now provide a total of four opportunities to get a guaranteed starting spot in the Freedom 76 for 2022. In addition to the VP Racing Fuels Bruce Rogers Memorial, the winner of the Forrest Rogers Memorial, Grandview 2022 Modified Point Champion and the 2021 Freedom 76 winner will also be guaranteed for the championship classic. With this addition, the previous policy of awarding the second place Forrest Rogers finisher with a spot if one driver ended up with two spots, will no longer be used.

As was the case in the past, drivers will draw for heat race starting spots, final qualifiers will be taken from consolations, leading into the 60-lap championship feature. There will be no guaranteed, or provisional starters added of any kind, as only 24 honored starters will take the green in the main event.

In addition to this huge Modified event, a complete program will be run for the Sportsman stock cars with qualifying events.
